Welcome to the website of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul, Province of Nigeria!
Here we are, to share our life and vocation via social communication. Having an engaging website couldn’t be more apt as we are now immersed in the call to boldness in responding further to our call as Daughters of Charity.
I have the special privilege of welcoming all and sundry to our website. It will keep you abreast with everything you need to know about the Daughters of Charity of St Vincent de Paul, globally but specially about the Province of Nigeria with our activities in all our missions; Burkina Faso, Ghana and Nigeria. Wishing you every blessing each moment you encounter us even in the written word.

Sr Ifeoma Arinze, DC.

Provincial Superior

As Daughters of Charity, urged and energized by the love of Christ,

we see those who suffer, those stripped of human rights and dignity, and those in poor health as brothers and sisters with whom we are in solidarity (Constitution16c).
It is our vision to achieve a more just and caring society through collaboration with others who share our values and are working with us towards achieving our mission.

Our
Vision
Our Mission

We are Consecrated Women committed to being splendid signs pointing to heavenly Glory.

Energized by Ephata (Breakthrough the gate… Go towards… Encounter) experience, we live our mission of service of the Poor in the post Covid-19 world of uncertainties, witnessing daily with joy to the Gospel values and seeing each Sister as the mystery of God’s presence. Emboldened by the Spirit of Christ which breaks through all inhibitions, we continue to engage and promote personal and communal ecological conversion, marked by a simple lifestyle, the passing on of the Christian values and our Charism to the young and upholding the dignity of every human person, in collaboration with those who share our values, following the footsteps of Our Lord Jesus Christ, our Blessed Mother Mary and our Founders.

Child Protection Policy

The Daughters of Charity are committed to ensuring the safety, well-being, and protection of children in all their programs and activities. This Child Protection Policy aims to provide a clear framework for preventing and addressing any form of abuse, exploitation, or neglect. The policy ensures that all staff, volunteers, and affiliated personnel undergo thorough background checks and receive ongoing training to recognize and respond to child protection concerns. The organization pledges to create an environment where children feel safe, valued, and supported, free from fear of harm. Any allegations of abuse or misconduct will be taken seriously and addressed promptly with a commitment to transparency and accountability. The policy underscores the importance of informed consent, ensuring that both children and their guardians understand their rights and the services provided. Additionally, it outlines procedures for reporting concerns and creating accessible channels for children to voice any issues they may encounter. Daughters of Charity actively collaborate with local authorities, community groups, and other child protection agencies to ensure the highest standards of care and safeguarding. Regular audits and reviews will be conducted to assess the effectiveness of the policy and make necessary improvements. Ultimately, the Daughters of Charity are dedicated to fostering an environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive in a safe and nurturing space.
