In our society, disability is often perceived as a curse. Consequently, persons with disabilities are often discriminated against and cut off from the social life of the society, having no access to basic facilities and resources such as; education, healthcare, etc. This has contributed to the problem of inequality in our society.

In order to bridge this gap and to change the orientation of the society with regard to disability, we continue to create awareness wherever we are and through our different services to enable people come to the realization that, every human person has gifts and potentials- able or disabled which can only be developed if it is recognized and nurtured. Nobody is self-sufficient; everyone has something to learn from the other.


Presently we are working towards the realisation of:

- An Inclusive Education Centre for persons with and without disabilities as a way of making education available for all since the right to education is a basic human right and the foundation for a more just society. This is as a way of extending the scope of the mainstream school and giving every child the opportunity to be educated irrespective of learning difficulties, disabilities, age, ability, culture, race, gender, ethnicity, religion, background, etc. In addition, this Inclusive Education is about creating a sense of belonging for all children and young people, so that they can feel wanted, loved and valued by the society.

- We also wish to expand our service of care to destitute and mentally ill persons in Providence Home, Uyo in Akwa Ibom State. Providence Home has been in existence for more than 26 years and there is an urgent need to expand and equip the facility to accommodate and cater for more people who are suffering in this category.
