PRONOUNCEMENT OF VOWS

Date Posted:

In order to serve Christ in persons who are poor, the Daughters of Charity commit themselves to live their baptismal consecration through the practice of the evangelical counsels of chastity, poverty, and obedience, which receive from this service their special character (Const. 27).

It was a joyous day for all the Sisters of the Province and the families of   Sr. Franca OKOEMU, DC and Sr. Mary Clare OLEKAMMA, DC as they pronounced their vows for the First time in the Company of the Daughters of Charity. They vowed to serve Persons who are living in poverty, and to live a life of Chastity, Poverty and Obedience, this took place at St. Louise Provincial House, Eleme. Rivers State on Saturday 26th of September 2020.

They have willingly given themselves entirely to God who has called them. As we share in their joys we pray that God may grant them the grace to live and die in true poverty and chastity, and to live in perfect observance of obedience and to honour and serve God in persons who are poor all through their lives.

Hearty Congratulations Dear Sisters!!!!!!!!!
